Dr. Lorion ordered oxygen and IV and some blood tests. She said at this point it could be gastritis, bleeding ulcer, diverticulitis , bowel impaction or bowel infarction or even a virus. The goal is to get her hydrated, rest the GI tract and help her be comfortable. Depending on how things go, we might have to decide if surgery is an option- weighing length of life, surgery risks , and quality of life.
