When we came back from dinner, mom was awake and pretty chipper. Had a ongoing conversation with us and even posed for a picture that mike took to send to Elissa. She said that she was hungry and hsd 2 bites of jello. Then she said that she was thirsty and took 2 big drinks of water through a straw. This was the most she has had since Wednesday. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes later she started feeling nauseous again. They gave her Zofran again. When the night nurse came on duty, she gave her some phenergen again. She heard some good bowel tones and decided that they would give her a suppository later tonight to see if they can get the bowels moving again. The goal is to control the nausea and comfort measures. Hospice doctor will check her in the morning. She was sleeping soundly when we left.
