On Sunday, March 2nd, 2014, I was crying after the doctor recommended that we transfer mom to Hospice House because there wasn't nothing left to do to help her, other than keep her comfortable. Mom said, "why the tears?" When I explained, she said, "awww, I'm not in any pain." I said, "I love you". Mom said, " I love you" and "I'm a lucky mom!" She shared very few words after that. She mouthed "I love you" on Monday, March 3rd, and gently squeezed my hand on Tuesday, March 4th, and was completely quiet on Wednesday, March 5th, before she passed away at 3:35 PM. I will always hold those words and her touch close to my heart. I love you mom and miss you already!
